Our mission is to do as Christ commanded His church in Matthew 28:19 & 20a 19 “aGo therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you;
Being Disciples that both GROW & Make Disciples is what we want to be Biblically known for! Loving our great God and loving His people will be the result of that!
A. We believe the Holy Scriptures, both the Old & New Testaments to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for salvation of men, and the Divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. II Timothy 3: 16 & 17; II Peter 1:20 & 21; Matthew 5:18
B. We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons, Holy Father, Holy Son, Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19; II Corinthians 13:14
C. We Believe that Jesus Christ is true God and man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Furthermore, He arose from the dead on the third day, ascended into heaven, is at the right hand of the Holy Father & is our Holy High Priest and Advocate. Matthew 1: 18 – 20; I Corinthians 15: 3 & 4, 20; Hebrews 1: 1 – 3, 7: 21 – 28.
D. We Believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age to convict men, regenerate the Believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct & empower the believer for godly living and service to God. John 15: 26 & 27, 16: 7 – 15.
E. We believe that men were created in the image of God but fell into in and is therefore lost, and only through faith in the atoning Sacrifice of Christ Jesus can salvation & spiritual life be obtained. Genesis 1:26; Romans 3: 9 – 19 & 23; Ephesians 2: 1- 6.
F. We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ & His resurrection provided the only grounds for justification and salvation for all who believe. Hebrews 9:22; Romans 3:25 & 10: 9 – 10.
G. We believe that baptism by emersion and the Lord’s supper are ordinances to be observed by the church during the present age. I Corinthians 11: 23 – 29; Matthew 28: 19 & 20.
H. We believe that the true Church is composed of all such persons who, through the saving faith in Christ Jesus have been united together in the body of Christ of which He is the Head. I Corinthians 12:13; Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 1: 22 & 23.
I. We believe that only those who have confessed that Jesus is Lord and believing in His Atoning sacrifice shall be eligible for membership in the local church. Romans 10: 9 – 10; Ephesians 1:13 – 14.
J. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church & that every local church has the right, under Christ Jesus to decide and govern its own affairs. Ephesians 1:22; Acts 6: 2 – 6.
